Material Safety Data Sheet - Zirconia Microspheres, Spheres and Beads
Yttria-stabilized zirconia microspheres and spheres (ZrO2 / Y2O3) are supplied as a dry powder. With operating temperatures up to 1000°C, a melting point of ~2700°C, and density of ~6g/cc, these spheres and microspheres demonstrate high impact resistance and very high strength and toughness, giving these ceramic beads excellent wear resistance. In addition the material is chemically stable resulting
in excellent corrosion resistance and unmatched durability at high temperatures and in extreme environments.
The spheres offer excellent insulation properties. Due to toughness and high resistance to wear these beads can be used in high energy and high temperature processes and applications, where other materials would not survive.
