Zirconium dioxide (ZrO2), sometimes known as zirconia, is a white crystalline ceramic material which is extremely durable and chemically unreactive when stabilized with Yttria (Y2O3). Yttria stabilized zirconia spheres are known for superior thermal, mechanical, and electrical properties. With density close to 6g/cc, operating temperatures up to 1000 degrees C, superior toughness and high resistance to wear these beads can be used in high energy and high temperature processes and applications, where other materials would not survive.

Zirconium Silicate Beads (ZrSiO4), supplied as dry powder, offer superior toughness and chemical inertness for dental, medical, and specialty applications. These ceramic beads are less dense and not as spherical as yttria-stabilized zirconia spheres and offer a more economical options where the environmental conditions are not as demanding.
