Paramagnetic microspheres have the ability to increase their magnetization with an applied magnetic field and decrease their magnetism when the field is removed. No residual magnetization is observed which provides practical advantages for end uses, including ease of separation and suitability for automation. When the magnetic field is removed, the microspheres demagnetize and redisperse easily.
Cospheric offers black paramagnetic microspheres in dry powder form, which has enabled scientists to leverage the benefits of paramagnetic particles in new applications. These highly spherical polyethylene microspheres offer the flowability and visibility of larger microspheres, with the ability to be separated from other materials for reuse and cleanup.
No solvents are used in the manufacturing process. The micropsheres are highly opaque particles with maximum hiding power.
Polyethylene microspheres are hydrophobic and need to be coated with a surfactant prior to suspending in water or aqueous solutions. We recommend Tween 80 Bio-compatible Surfactant.
