Rhodamine B polyethylene microspheres appear pink in the daylight and are supplied in dry powder form. Rhodamine B particles of smaller sizes (<~100um) show a weak orange fluorescent responses, with 10-27um being the weakest. Larger Particles have a slightly better fluorescent response.

Polyethylene microspheres are hydrophobic and suspend easily in oil-based solutions. They can also be suspended in aqueous solution if coated with a surfactant prior to suspending in water. We recommend using Tween 80 or Tween 20 Surfactants.
