Bright fluorescent green spherical particles are supplied in dry powder form. Controlled particle size ranges enable investigation of maximum particle size passing through the openings, filters and membranes. Particles exhibit a strong fluorescent response and are color stable in solution. These spheres closely resemble the density of blood plasma at 1025 kg/m3.
Other colors, sizes and grades of fluorescent particles are available:Fluorescent Polymer Particles, Beads, Microspheres
Density: 1.02-1.03g/cc Daylight Color: Fluorescent Green (515nm Peak) Fluorescent Response: Peak emission of 515nm when excited at 414nm
Microspheres vs Micropellets vs Microparticles:
Microspheres: >90% of particles are spheresMicropellets: >90% of particles are spheroids (sphere-like but not perfectly spherical body)Microparticles: >90% of particles may have irregular shapes
Polyethylene microspheres, micropellets, and microparticles are hydrophobic and suspend easily in oil-based solutions. They can also be suspended in aqueous solution if coated with a surfactant prior to suspending in water. We recommend using Tween 80 or Tween 20 Surfactants.
