Bright fluorescent red microspheres with density of 1.20g/cc(1200kg/L) are supplied in dry powder form.
Fluorescent particles of known density and particle diameter range are
often used in density-matching for flow visualization and analysis of
fluid flow in a device. Particles exhibit a strong fluorescent response and are color stable in solution. The density of these particles is close to the average density of the red blood cells which measures approximately 1.110 g/mL (1110kg/L).

Polyethylene microspheres are hydrophobic and suspend easily in oil-based solutions. They can also be suspended in aqueous solution if coated with a surfactant prior to suspending in water. We recommend using Tween 80 or Tween 20 Surfactants.
