Bright blue spherical polymer particles are supplied in dry powder form and are color-stable in solution. Controlled particle size ranges enable investigation of maximum particle size passing through openings, filters and membranes.
Spherical particles with density of 1.08g/ml (1080kg/l) are designed to match the average density of white blood cells and enable analyzing, studying, and modeling the behavior of blood. Particularly useful in validating and troubleshooting medical devices by ensuring that the design can handle flow of blood with various sized particles, and demonstrating where specific sizes of particles encounter obstructions in the system.
These spheres are also available in aqueous solution as Density Marker Beads.

Polyethylene microspheres are hydrophobic and suspend easily in oil-based solutions. They can also be suspended in aqueous solution if coated with a surfactant prior to suspending in water. We recommend using Tween 80 or Tween 20 Surfactants.
